Today you’ll visit what’s probably the most beautiful lighthouse cape of Portugal. Then you’ll head to a beach known only by the locals for a rest. You’ll have lunch at a seafood restaurant in Setúbal, where it’s always at its freshest and at affordable prices (lunch not included). After lunch you’ll head to a palace to appreciate Portuguese gardens, arts and tile work, followed by wine tasting.
Here’s a suggested program of the day, that can be adjusted to meet your needs and interests
9AM Accommodation Pick-up in Lisbon
10-10.30AM Cabo Espichel – enjoy the breathtaking ocean views from the cape, see the lighthouse and visit the abandoned convent of Nossa Sra. do Cabo
11AM-12.30PM At the beach – time to relax a bit under the Portuguese sun and enjoy paradisiac looking beaches. Be prepared for an easy 15 min walk to the beach. Sun umbrella will be provided.
1-2.30PM Lunch – go to one of the best, but still affordable seafood restaurants in Setúbal
15.00-17.30 – Visit a beautiful palace in Azeitão, embellished with traditional Portuguese tile work from the XV e XVI centuries. Enjoy the beautiful gardens. The visit will be followed by Alentejan wine tasting.
6-6.30PM Back to Lisbon, accommodation drop off
